About the Opportunity

We are working with a well-established organisation seeking an IFS Technical Developer to join its growing technology team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development, enhancement, and support of enterprise business systems while collaborating with both technical and operational stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting ERP functionality, developing integrations, creating reports, and assisting with ongoing system improvements across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance solutions within the organisation’s ERP environment
  • Design, modify, and optimise database queries, procedures, and related technical components
  • Create and maintain reports and business intelligence outputs
  • Develop and support system integrations using modern API and data exchange technologies
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues while providing support to end users
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Contribute to system improvement, optimisation, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Assist with testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance activities

Required Experience

  • Experience working with Oracle databases and PL/SQL development
  • Exposure to ERP systems, preferably within complex business environments
  • Understanding of integration technologies and web services
  • Experience developing reports and supporting business reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of core business processes such as finance, supply chain, operations, or human resources
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Professional-level English communication skills

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with ERP development tools and customisation frameworks
  • Knowledge of version control systems and software development best practices
  • Exposure to modern development methodologies and agile delivery environments
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and development productivity tools
  • Understanding of clean coding principles and application lifecycle management
